Andy’s Journey: How Blue Dot Army Helped During Treatment

As I sit in my hotel room on the eve of my return to Cairns, I find myself reflecting on the past eight weeks I’ve spent here in Western Australia. It’s been a time of intense treatment, but also one of real support – and that’s largely thanks to the incredible impact Blue Dot Army has had on my cancer journey. Any survivor or sufferer will understand when I say this truly has been a journey.
My battle with prostate cancer began in 2014, and since then, I’ve been on a relentless quest to understand more about this disease. Over the years, I’ve sought advice from medical practitioners, alternative health specialists, healers, and even turned to Dr Google, hoping to find the best path forward. Through it all, my brother-in-law, a seasoned medical specialist with over fifty years of experience, supported my exploration while always gently reminding me to “follow the science.”
After years of research and trialling various treatments, I finally found a treatment and technology that was right for me – something that ticked all the boxes for my specific situation. And that led me here to Perth, the only city in Australia with access to this technology.
But this reflection isn’t about the medical side of my cancer treatment. Instead, it’s about the remarkable support I’ve received from Blue Dot Army. From the moment I arrived in Perth, Crystal Howrie and her incredible team have been by my side, offering me practical, emotional, and financial assistance every step of the way.
Blue Dot Army took care of so many details, from travel arrangements and scheduling to helping me find my bearings in an unfamiliar city – something I was admittedly a bit nervous about. The dedicated Concierge support was a game-changer, easing a lot of the stress I would have otherwise faced navigating the logistics on my own.
