Founded in 2018, Blue Dot Army is dedicated to supporting people on their cancer journey. Our founder, Crystal Howrie, motivated by her own cancer experience, recognised the need for better support and guidance for those navigating treatment.
We proudly collaborate with like-minded cancer organisations and wellbeing advocates to provide comprehensive assistance. Whether it’s helping with accommodation, transportation, or companionship, our Blue Dot Army of volunteers and partners are always ready to help.

Our Name,
Blue Dot Army
The words, ‘Blue Dot’, represent the small tattoo a person with cancer may have received to accurately guide the radiologist in administering radiation treatment. For many, it is a painful and permanent reminder of their cancer experience.
‘Army’, represents the extraordinary people who provide support to those with cancer - our advocates, partners, and volunteers.
Additionally, the butterfly which you see throughout our branding is symbolic of change, endurance, hope, and life.

Crystal works in tourism and hospitality. From her personal cancer journey she founded Blue Dot Army to focus on the person and improve.
